Broadcasting from the Arizona Crawfish Festival in Overgaard, Arizona!

Jay’s Tip of the week from Harper’s Nursery and Landscaping:  It’s transition time!

  • This is the time of year to start making room for fall vegetables.
  • The guys talk composting and prepping the garden for the next phase of your garden.
  • Spread the work out over the next few weekends so you’re not taking on a big chore all at once in this heat.

Caller:

  • Has 5 Chinese Elm trees that have all started to die over last two years and he’s not sure what to do at this point.

Recommendation – It sounds exactly like root rot and that’s why it dies so quickly. Check the soil conditions and think about planting a tree that’s a little less susceptible to problems.
