In-Studio with Bill Jenkins of Think Green Irrigation and Landscaping.

Tip of the Week: Now is the time that your summer lawn should be transitioned. Start with the basics and make sure you’ve got the irrigation set correctly. Make sure your watering at the right times and the right amount.  If your lawn isn’t getting enough sun and too much shade, it could be part of the problem. A lot of people thatch too often, but right now is a great time to of the year to do it.

Callers:

  • Marsia – Has a barn on her property and her sun is going to finish the loft to play drums. How can he sound proof the loft so the music doesn’t bother the neighbors.

Recommendation – Inject a foam insulation into the stud cavities on the outer walls, then hang half inch soundboard over the top of that and finally sheet rock. For the windows, think about Magnetite Southwest.

We’re in-studio with Dennis Rodenburg of Thermal Advantage today. How do you know if foam insulation is right for you home?.?

The majority of the homes built in the 50’s and 60’s were masonry homes with zero insulation and used swamp coolers. Homes with absolutely no insulation, foam injection can increase your insulation protection by 5 times.

We’re discussing all the different benefits and various types.
