Rosie's & Romey's Comments
About 15 years ago I was crossing the west side of town and decided to drive past Sweet Jennifer and my first home near 51 Ave and Glendale, I drove right in front of what was then the brand new Sanderson Ford Facility. On a whim I pulled in to look over the new Ford F-150’s, a Mr. Bill Lilly introduced himself, walked me through the tremendous inventory, invited me to take a test drive, answered all my questions and I left. I then drove down memory lane visiting my first home, took what I learned at Sanderson and over the next 30 or 60 days stopped in several other Phoenix Ford Dealers to compare. After about the 4th or 5th location I was convinced I was going to do business with Mr. Lilly at Sanderson. I called him and made an appointment, we picked out my truck, made a very fair deal and I drove away proud. 8 or 9 vehicles later, whenever I’m ready for my next vehicle I never sweat the shopping process. I pre-shop Sandersons inventory at www.shopsanderson.com, call Mr. Lilly, verify availability, cover the deal points and make arrangements to pick up the vehicle. When I show up the truck is waiting, I sign a few papers, trade keys and head home. Now that’s car shopping made easy, in an environment of integrity that’s never intimidating or confusing.
Jennifer I have really enjoyed our Ford trucks. Rosie’s diesel has taken us all over Arizona backroads and to all our favorite spots. Loading up the truck and heading out is always an exciting time at the Romero house. The cab is big and roomie and accomodates all of Carol’s stuff and even a friend when they can join us. I love sitting up high, seeing the mountains and canyons and feeling safe on the road.
I got my first Ford truck 2 years ago. It is a diesel also and I love driving it. It hauls my horses with minimal effort. It is extremely comfortable to drive, its quiet and smooth. I love the drop down step in the tail gate, it makes loading up for Carol’s clogging team, grocery shopping or a trip, any snap.
Having the trucks has allowed us a lot of freedom to see the Arizona country side that we love while in comfort and in style!
It was July of 2004 when I found myself once again over the hood of my red 1985 F-150 4x4. None of the issues I was having were uncommon for a truck nearly 20 years old with 200,000 miles under its belt: a pin hole in the radiator hose, a worn out alternator, and this time the water pump. Now 20 minutes late and stuck on the corner of 19th Avenue & Dunlap with sweat pouring into my eyes as I tighten all the bolts and belts trying not to get covered in grease. Rosie stopped to check on me as he was on his way to the same appointment. He had mentioned to me several times that year that I should start thinking about a new truck as the miles were adding up and I was about to start building a home 60 miles away out on county land. I never took this advice to seriously as I was pretty handy at working on my own truck and I simply loved that old truck and did not want to imagine life without it. Maybe it was the frustration of being late, maybe it was the grease on my new pressed Wranglers, maybe it was the heat, but this time that advice from Rosie made a whole lot of sense to me. Six hours later I turned left onto Glendale Avenue from the Sanderson Ford lot in a white 2004 F-150 with seventeen miles on the odometer. This turned out to be one of the best decisions I ever made. I still love working on old trucks and I still have that same pair of Wranglers, but I've never been late on the account of truck maintenance.
